This twist on a half-up do' takes a simple style and gives it a special touch, perfect for curing the winter hair blues.

Step 1: Begin with an un-done hair canvas. This style works even better if hair is unwashed and prepped with dry shampoo (L'Oreal Professionnel's Fresh Dust works wonders!)

Step 2: Begin curling the hair with a 1 inch curling iron, wrapping hair around, starting at the root.

Step 3: Once the hair is curled, set it with a medium-hold hairspray. Next, taking a small section from each side above the ear, pull into a ponytail and bind with a clear elastic.

Step 4: Loosely braid the ponytail, tugging it gently to pull it wider. This creates body and depth with a more "undone" effect.

Step 5: Wrap the braid around the elastic into a bun shape, pinning on the underside to secure. Gently pull the braid at random for a piecey look, and spray with hairspray to set the style.
